SPECIAL SITUATION FOR 2021 AS A RESULT OF COVID-19:
This section outlines the Dunbar Area Little League Policies and Procedures to help keep our players, coaches, volunteers and families safe.
Players, coaches, and spectators are asked to conduct a self-evaluating symptom assessment (symptoms of COVID-19 can be found on the CDC website at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/symptoms-testing/symptoms.html) before each game and practice. Anyone experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 must stay home.No touch rule - Players and coaches should refrain from high fives, handshake lines, and other physical contact with teammates, opposing players, coaches, umpires, and fans. A "tip of the cap" can be used following the game in lieu of the handshake line. Players and coaches are prohibited from chewing gum and eating sunflower seeds on the field of play and in the dugout. Players and coaches should refrain from spitting on the field of play and in the dugout.As a reminder, the no tobacco policy is always in place on Dunbar Area Little League property.Masks are recommended for players and coaches while in the dugout.Players will be allowed outside the dugout for social distancing with parental approval and supervision.It is recommended that players do not share equipment or drinks.Hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes will be provided to each manager to make available for their team.Masks are recommended for fans that are not able to use social distancing guidelines.
