May 6, 2020 Release:
It
is with great disappointment, that we are announcing that we will not
have a spring baseball season this year. In collaboration with all
teams in our District, the decision was made that none of our leagues
will play baseball this season.
We
will continue to await our area being cleared for regular operations
under the governor's reopening plan. Once our area is in “green” status,
we will look to resume operations in some form. This could be a
summer league and/or a fall league. We will keep you informed using our
normal communication methods of email, our website and our Facebook
page.
For those that registered to play in the spring, the board met today and have developed the following reimbursement plan:
- For those that purchased parent shirts and/or hats from our league: you will receive full reimbursement.
- For
those that purchased “FanWear”, you should have received your gear
directly from the webpage provider (Sports Connect). No further action
is required.
- Little League
players: you are eligible for a refund of your registration fee (less
the service fee of $3 and the credit card fee of 2.8%). If your address
has changed since the time of your registration, please send an email to the league account ([email protected]) by May 15th and include your child’s name and the mailing address that you would like to receive the reimbursement check.
- Junior League players: no action is required since registration fees were not yet paid.
- If
you would like to donate your registration fee to the league, please
respond to this email with your preference to donate your balance to the
league. – Thank You!
All
checks will be mailed to the primary parental contact from the
registration and to the address provided during registration unless you send us an email with a new address by May 15th. We will mail checks within 4-6 weeks.
Stay Safe! We hope to see you on the diamond soon.
May 5, 2020 Release:
Hello all. We hope this latest update finds you and your family safe and healthy. As we continue to monitor the situation in our area, we unfortunately need to again postpone the start of our season. We are currently awaiting the governor to elevate our local area from red status before we feel confident in resuming operations. As a result, we will not be starting practices on May 11th as previously forecasted. We will be aligning with PA guidelines for our practices and games with the primary objective of keeping our players, coaches, volunteers and families safe. Until that time, please enjoy the time with your family.
April 30, 2020 Release:
We hope all of the players, coaches and families within our league family or doing well and staying safe. As it has been a couple weeks since our last update, we wanted to ensure you are all aware that we are still committed to having baseball this season. We are continuing to monitor our environment in Pennsylvania and awaiting word from the governor on loosening the restrictions. Until that time, we encourage you to work on your skills at home by at least passing the ball with your loved ones.
For your awareness, Little League International announced today, that they have decided to cancel its World Series and Region Tournaments. Here is a link to the full announcement for your reference:

This does not preclude the opportunity for us to still have our regular season, nor does it impact the District 9 tournament, Sections and State Tournaments. These will each be decided at the local level based on governmental guidance. We will continue to keep you informed of changes via our website, Facebook page and league email.
April 5, 2020 Release:
In
accordance with the recommendation from Little League International, we
have made the decision to further postpone the start of the season
until May 11th.
This delay will mean that no practices will start until Monday, May 11th. As a result of this further delay, our opening day will move from April 25th until Saturday, May 16th. We
share your disappointment in the further delay, but we feel it is in
the best interest of keeping our kids, coaches and families safe.
We remain confident and support the sentiment that President Trump posted on Twitter yesterday:
“To
all of our youth who are missing the start of their @LittleLeague
seasons, hang in there! We will get you back out on the fields, and
know that you will be playing baseball soon. We will get through this
together, and bats will be swinging before you know it. In the
meantime, take care of mom and dad, and know that this will not be
forever!”
To keep up with any new information about the season, please follow us on Facebook and check out website.
Stay safe and healthy.
March 24, 2020 Release:
As we continue to monitor the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, we have been "strongly advised" by the Little League International Board of Directors to delay the start of our baseball operations until May 11th. As we are already on a delay until April 6th, we will continue to watch closely and make the decision on possible extensions of the delay prior to April 6th. We will continue to keep our league families informed of changes via our website, email and our Facebook page. Thank you for your patience.
Stay safe and healthy.
March 13, 2020 Release:
Dear Little League Family,
The safety and well-being of our players, volunteers and families is of the utmost importance to us. As a result of the worldwide pandemic of the coronavirus where President Trump has declared a national emergency, we have decided to delay the start of our baseball season. To arrive at this decision, we have been in consultation with Little League International and our local District Administrator. The advice from Little League is as follows:
“While each community is being affected differently by the coronavirus, the Little League International Board of Directors and staff feel that it is in the best interest of our volunteers and participant families to delay the implementation of the Little League season to begin no earlier April 6.
We will continue to work with our medical advisors as we closely monitor the situation, and we are advising all our leagues and families to follow the guidelines set by the World Health Organization, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Pennsylvania Department of Health and other county and/or local authorities including precedents set by area school districts and government agencies.”
We will postpone the start of practices and games until April 6th. We will keep you informed of any changes via email, on our website and on our Facebook page. At this point, we are not making any changes for our opening day on April 25th nor any other key activities that are scheduled to take place, such as Pitch, Hit & Run and Fun Day which you can learn about on our website.
We look forward to resuming operations as soon as possible and creating lasting, positive memories.
Stay safe and healthy.
See you on the diamond soon.
